Exclusive Quote on World Earth Day – For Smart Water & Waste World:
“People need to realize that our bodies are 70% water – we are nothing but tall water bottles! I don’t want to tell anyone how much water they should use or shouldn’t use. But whatever you do – make it as conscious as possible. If you become conscious, you will only use as much as you need to. This will make a world of difference. Right now, we are behaving as if we’re the last generation on the planet.”
“Water’s role in our lives goes far beyond just survival. Our bodies and our world are a balance of five elements – earth, air, water, fire, and space. We can achieve well-being for the mind and body by balancing the elements in the system. Much emphasis is placed on the importance of water because our bodies, like our planet are 72% water. So not only the amount of water we drink but also the qualities of the water and how we drink it can make a difference for our total well-being.”

Rally for Rivers
Sadhguru had launched one of the world’s biggest environmental campaigns, Rally for Rivers in 2017 in which he personally drove across 16 Indian states in a month’s time. The campaign saw an unprecedented coming together of political leaders, farmers, industrialists, businessmen, students, professionals, media, culminating in the handing over of the draft policy recommendation to Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The initiative enlarged into a large-scale people’s movement with the participation, in various modes, of over 162 million people, across all walks of life. Subsequently, the PMO formed an executive committee spearheaded by NITI Aayog. On 6 June 2018, NITI Aayog issued an advisory to all 29 States and Union Territories recommending implementation of the River Revitalization policy. In March 2019, Maharashtra became the first state to formally approve Rally for Rivers’ pilot project for revitalization of Waghari River in Yavatmal district.
