India: VA Tech WABAG Limited has received the CSR Journal Excellence Awards (as Second Runner Up under the Health and Hygiene category) for its CSR project at Viralipatti village, Tamilnadu.

The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs (Government of India), G. Kishan Reddy presented the award to Vignesh Ramanan who represented WABAG at the event.

The event was organized by the CSR Journal at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Other two nominations in the Health and Hygiene category were Yes Bank and Muthoot Finance.

The CSR Journal Excellence Awards were constituted for rewarding and motivating corporate for their exceptional contribution to bring about sustainable social change.

VA Tech WABAG Limited provides solutions in the water engineering sector. It acts as a systems specialist and full service provider with a focus on the planning, installation, and operation of drinking and wastewater plants for local government and industry in the growth markets of Asia, North Africa, Middle East, the Central and Eastern Europe states.
